Dr Helge Wurdemann

Dr Helge Wurdemann is a roboticist and Lecturer in Medical Devices in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University College London interested in the design and application of bio-inspired, soft and stiffness-controllable medical and haptic devices and robotic art.

Dr Amy Varney

Dr. Amy Varney is VP Operations at OxStem, a start-up biotechnology ‘spin-out’ from the University of Oxford, where Amy obtained her doctorate in Medicinal Chemistry. OxStem is a drug discovery company developing novel in situ cell programming therapies for treatment of diseases with high unmet clinical need. Amy was part of entrepreneurial and commercial programs at Oxford prior to her joining the OxStem business team in 2015.

Elena Fernandez-Kleinlein

Elena Fernandez-Kleinlein is the Senior Director, Consumer R&D at the Johnson & Johnson Innovation Centre, London. Her main responsibilities are scouting and evaluating early stage technologies and opportunities and managing external partnerships for the strategic areas within the Consumer Sector. She works closely with start-up companies, accelerators and incubators across the EMEA region and provides leadership and mentorship.
